Enterprise Social Media

It's been one of the hottest technologies for some time now: why email, when you can Slack?  However, many companies are finding that they are only jumping from the frying pan into the fire.  After the first few months of bliss, they find the same overload as before, with employees feeling overwhelmed by the task of wading through it all just to find what they need.

Why? Because systems have been so historically bad, we have relied on each other to help find things out about our own operations - to know something , you need to ask someone.  So, when a new technology comes around to replace email, we don't stop and think it through from first principles, instead recreating the exhausting people to people network, except this time inside a cool social media wrapper.  Sadly, no amount of emojis will conceal the frustration.

Here at Supl, we've got over a decade of experience in successful ESM use, avoiding the classic mistake of building them around human networks (that even the vendors encourage!), instead configuring them around business information - with walls for key processes, each client, product etc.  This leaves people to follow only what they need, soak themselves with company knowledge that predates them, and only get involved when it's right for them.
